I have increasingly been becoming aware that the sounds (actual and metaphorical) of cities are as key signifiers of their identity, as are their visual signs.

This ‘language of the city’ can be informed  by the changing of a city’s cultural makeup, as well as its infrastructural development and numerous other factors – accents, public anouncements, redevelopment and so on.

Drawing from this, I have been developing a project comprising visual, textual and audio narrative. This snippet forms a part of that project.
