I often read that street photographers, especially, using iPhones for their projects.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->I also often read articles citing the quality of images from smartphones. There are also many <em>&#8220;iPhone versus &#8230;whatever&#8221;<\/em> style <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/gallery\/2011\/dec\/04\/photography-iphone-v-professional-camera\">comparison articles<\/a>. But I&#8217;m still not convinced, as I find that the image quality, at least from my mobile, to be quite lacking.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not a pixel peeper (someone who examines digital photographs &#8216;microscopically&#8217;, to look for flaws). I wouldn&#8217;t shoot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchyspaces.com\/content\/just-as-i-got-fed-up-with-film-i-found-eastman-double-x\/\">film cameras<\/a> if I was. But I find the lack of sharpness, artefacts and blown highlights to be an issue. Especially for printing at larger sizes.<\/p>\n<p>However, for certain kinds of photography \u2013 and with the right post-processing \u2013 some fairly decent images can be achieved. High contrast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchyspaces.com\/content\/category\/mono\/\">black and white<\/a> seems to work quite well for me.
